Stars Vipers' Queen Cobras from New Braunfels, Texas took to the Summit stage today in hopes of advancing to finals. AND THEY DID JUST THAT!


The day began at All Star Sports Resort as the team gathered together for photos, then loaded the bus to head to the competition.

Day 1 of the championship took place in the iconic HP Field House, but of course the team had to head back to warm ups before making their debut. The Small Senior Restricted Level 5 team has had an almost perfect season, placing first in all of their competitions but one. After taking home jackets at NCA in Dallas, one of the most competitive competitions in all star, the Queens knew they had a good chance of earning a top spot at The Summit 2017.

The Queens hit a zero deduction performance on Day 1, but still have room to improve their overall routine. Chris Hendon, one of the coaches told us they were nervous as they waited to hear their name announced during finals.

They waited to call our name last, and there was another team I thought would advance so it made me nervous. I was so relieved when it was us…

Chris and the other Stars coaches expect great things from the girls as they aim to finish their season in Finals in the toughest division at the championship. Watch the Queen Cobras perform LIVE in Finals on Sunday, May 7th at 6:16PM in the J Center.
