Top Gun All Stars TGLC is a legend in the large senior coed 5 division, and they will be debuting their new routine for the first time this season at The Cheer Alliance in Louisville, Kentucky.
TGLC was one of the original members of the Cheer Alliance, and they've been attending the competition every year since. Last year, the squad made history as the first team to make it through the play-in round to win the Cheer Alliance.
Kristen Rosario is the head coach for TGLC along with husband Victor, and Varsity TV caught up with her to hear what we can expect as the team works to hold onto their title this weekend.
"We always try to focus on bringing out something new and innovative and we tried to do that this year as well," Rosario said. "As far as strengths, I would probably have to say that this group has been blessed with cohesiveness. Their strength is in the team itself. They are definitely an 'all of nothing' bunch."
As much as winning is a goal for every team, the Top Gun coaches had another goal for their squad this season.
"We were more focused on making it a timeless routine than a winning one," Rosario said.
