It was an exciting night for the Cheer Athletics family as both Panthers and Cheetahs took home big wins at The Cheer Alliance Championship.


The competition was fierce but the Texas teams prevailed tonight in Louisville, KY. The Cheer Alliance added an extra twist to their championship this season that kept the audience on the edge of their seats all evening long.

The introduction of the Leader's Lounge, located on each side of the competition floor, was new to the championship this year. Here's how it worked -- On the left side of the stage was the coed Leader's Lounge, and on the right, the all girl Leader's Lounge. As teams finished their performances, they would head to the Leader's Lounge -- and if their score remained the top score -- they got to stay.

The crowd was given live updates as division champions were announced throughout the competition. At the end of the night, all division winners were brought to the mat and the Coed and All Girl Over All Champions were announced.

Panther's fierce performance in the Large Senior division earned the ladies the title of Cheer Alliance All Girl Over All Champions. But before the celebratory Cheer Athletics chant could fade out from the crowd, the Cheetahs were announced as the Cheer Alliance Coed Over All Champions!

The Cheer Athletics teams then circled up on the competition floor as the awaited the announcement of the Cheer Alliance Grand Champions.

And your winner is. . . Cheer Athletics Cheetahs!

Both teams celebrated in true Cheer Alliance fashion as they realized all the hard practices during the off season have finally paid off.
