The University of Alabama cheerleaders are ready for a championship week as they head to the College Football Playoff national championship for the third year in a row.

"When I decided to go to Alabama four years ago, I only hoped I would get the opportunity to cheer for at least one national championship. I never expected to cheer for three!" Alabama senior Millery Null said. "My time as an Alabama cheerleader has definitely been an experience I won’t forget, and it couldn’t end any better!"

After the Crimson Tide face off against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Alabama cheerleaders will head to Orlando, Florida, to compete for their national championship title.

The 2018 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship is just days away, and Alabama will be sending both their coed and all girl squads to compete for their very own title.

The Alabama spirit squads will have a busy schedule for the next few days as they balance travel, practices, appearances, and — of course — cheering in the biggest college football game of the year.

"Balancing between traveling to playoff games and practicing for nationals can be tough, but as a team we know that in the end it is going to make us stronger," Null said. "Practicing while traveling helps us prepare for nationals in a more efficient way. This gives us an opportunity to get in front of a crowd and practice in a different environment."

While traveling to the College Football Playoff, the Bama cheerleaders have found time to practice for their own national championship. While at the Sugar Bowl, the Tide practiced at Brother Martin High School, and during the national championship they will be hitting the mat for practice at Georgia State!

"Cheering for a national championship and competing for a national championship in the same week is challenging, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. It keeps the team on our toes and ready for what’s to come next!"

"I have never been a part of a team that has worked as hard as we have," Null said. "From the start of camp to our last few nationals practices, we have overcome more than anyone could imagine. It's been a challenging year, but my team has continued to push through the lows and highs and I think everyone will see our hard work on the mat next week!"

Alabama All Girl will kick off the festivities in Orlando at 11 AM ET with their Division lA semifinals performance followed by coed's semifinals later on that morning. If coed and all girl advance to finals, they'll compete again on Sunday evening.

"Not only are we putting out some difficult skills in a fast-pace routine, but there will be a lot of heart and compassion seen on the mat as well!"
