If you’re looking for spirit and a whole lot of game day energy, you’re in luck. The Canyon Lake High School cheerleaders will compete at NCA High School Nationals 2018! This Texas team looks forward to nationals all season long, and plans to bring their best.

Their veteran staff of Nikki Duggan Braunig and Stephanie Blackwood has been working together for 10 years at CLHS, leading the team on the sidelines and at competition. Leading the crowd and cheering on the Hawks has been a priority for the team for years, and has been strongly displayed in the past as the team took home the title for Varsity Small Novice in 2013.

This year, the squad will be competing in the Intermediate Small Game Day division.

“Our theme this year is 'level up,'” coach Duggan told us. “We have been competing in the Varsity Small Novice division since 2011, and we wanted to challenge ourselves this year and use one of our strengths which is Game Day."

"As we watched the Game Day performance finals last year at NCA Nationals, we as coaches wanted to challenge our athletes and we decided to move into the Intermediate Game Day Performance Division this year!”

The Canyon Lake cheerleading team will be performing on Saturday, January 27 at 12:03 PM CT in the Arena. Cheer them on live on Varsity TV!
