Large Hip Hop Semi-Finals took place today in the HP Field House and Fort Zumwalt West High School brought down the house! The Jaguars put on a performance that left the entire crowd hip hopping with excitement.

As a spectator, you can see it in the dancer's eyes that their passion for dance is their fuel for their routine. Head Coach Rachel Damlow says, “Their greatest strength is the self-motivation they have, they are an incredible group to coach because they want to be as good as they possibly can.”

This innovative routine used variety of tricks and diverse formations to wow the crowd in Orlando. One of the most surprising elements this team has is the unique way they can completely shift from one tempo to another, changing their timing and facial expressions depending on the section of the routine with ease.

Most cheerleaders and dancers join a team at a young age just looking for a hobby or an afterschool activity. But after years of practicing, conditioning, long game days, and competition weekends, these athletes look back on the hours spent with their teammates and realize that cheer and dance taught them a lot more than just the skills they learned on the mat.
