Check Out Kentucky's Big Blue Madness Routine!

It may seem like football season just started, but in Kentucky basketball is already making headlines.

The University of Kentucky Wildcats hit the hardwood last Friday for their annual Big Blue Madness event as a kickoff for the upcoming basketball season. The event may be centered around basketball, but the Kentucky Spirit Program stole the show.

BBM is the first time the women's and men's basketball teams are introduced to the public and the Kentucky Spirit Squad takes center stage to perform two show-stopping routines.

Every season, BBM is the first time the cheer and dance rookies get to perform in Rupp Arena, and it's no ordinary game day experience. They'll show off their spirit and skills surrounded by lights, lasers and booming speakers make this basketball event feel like a concert. And not to mention they are in front of 24,000 screaming spectators.

The hip hop queens from the University of Kentucky dance team had all of Rupp Arena on their feet as they broke it down to a mix of Beyonce and other hip hop greats.

The Blue and White cheer squads partner up to put on an action-packed five-minute routine complete with elite stunts, tumbling, and baskets. The 23-time UCA national champs take this performance pretty seriously, as this is their first time performing a routine similar to what they'll create for nationals.

With so much talent already on display from Kentucky Cheer & Dance, it's safe to predict that it's going to be another great year for the Wildcats!
