Looking Ahead: 18 Teams Advance To Medium Varsity Hip Hop Finals

NDAHSN-Photo2.jpg

Hard hitting choreography, powerful emotion and incredible synchronization. It's no secret that the Hip Hop divisions are a crowd favorite at the NDA High School National Championship year after year, and the Medium Varsity teams did not disappoint.

Thirty teams took the stage at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida with their eyes on the prize and 18 earned a spot in finals.

Bartram Trail High School is currently sitting in the top spot and their fierce performance has them ahead by more than a point. Lake Central and Commack High School are right on their heels with strong choreo and impressive skills that could mix things up in finals.

Don't count out Ladue High School, they earned silver in 2018. They're back and ready to prove 2019 is a golden opportunity.

Most cheerleaders and dancers join a team at a young age just looking for a hobby or an afterschool activity. But after years of practicing, conditioning, long game days, and competition weekends, these athletes look back on the hours spent with their teammates and realize that cheer and dance taught them a lot more than just the skills they learned on the mat.
