University Cheer Force Firestorm took the world by storm in 2018 as they were named the first-ever L5 Senior XSmall Coed World Champions.

The west coast team is back this season working to defend their title and their journey to the globe continues this weekend at the 2019 PacWest Nationals in Portland, Oregon.

Firestorm currently holds an At-Large bid to The Cheerleading Worlds 2019 but they are hoping to give their best performances of the season this weekend to upgrade to a full Paid Bid.

"We have been attending this event for many years now and we love it!" UCF Co-Owner, Nicole Vallejo shared with Varsity TV. "Over the course of the last few years, we have won many national titles, Summit bids, grand champion awards, and Worlds bids.  Last season, Firestorm received our programs first ever PAID bid to the Cheerleading Worlds!"

“We love PacWest. We love the prestige and organization of the event.  We also love reliving all the memories we make each year.”

This year, UCF Firestorm has a unique style and their opening tumbling and elite stunts draw the attention of the crowd.

“My personal favorite thing is our style is different than anyone else,” explained Vallejo. “We like each routine to have its own “WOW moment”.  In our Firestorm routine, a personal favorite part is when they hit their back-handspring ups.”

UCF brought thirteen total teams to PacWest Nationals they’re hoping to put on show-stopping performances.

“We are confident that you will see some exciting routines from our whole program at this event!  We have been working very hard and our athletes are up for the challenge.”
