Airborne Elite's First Ever Level 4 Team To Compete At Reach The Beach 2019

Airborne Elite is headed to Reach The Beach Nationals for the very first time this weekend and they are ready to put on a show.

While this may be Airborne Elite’s first time taking the mat at Reach The Beach, traveling to new events is one of the program’s favorite traditions.

“We LOVE traveling with our entire program, we always take our Youth through Seniors, and love being together as a cheer family.”

The program is bringing 5 teams to the championship including season standout, Commanders, who will take the mat in the Level 4 Junior division.

Airborne Elite is only in their 3rd season and 2019 marks their first season with a Level 4 team.

Commanders have had a strong 2019 season which they credit to the team bond they have built over the past few months. “Commanders are one small happy family, they all get along and trust that each athlete will do their job,” explained Airborne Elite Coach Kelly Foy.

While the team is only made up of eleven athletes, their choreography and impressive elite stunt make their routine feel larger than life. One shining moment to be on the lookout for is in their tumbling section.

“We feature one athlete who has NEVER cheered before in a featured tumbling pass,” added Foy.

Airborne Elite Commanders will battle it out against nine other teams for the division title at Reach The Beach in Ocean City, Maryland and you can tune in to Varsity TV to watch their Day 1 performance this Saturday at 8:43 AM ET.

Most cheerleaders and dancers join a team at a young age just looking for a hobby or an afterschool activity. But after years of practicing, conditioning, long game days, and competition weekends, these athletes look back on the hours spent with their teammates and realize that cheer and dance taught them a lot more than just the skills they learned on the mat.
