The 7 teams that make up Coed Cheer Division lA are some of the most elite teams you will see this weekend at the 2019 NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship.

The teams will start their journey to national championship glory today in Daytona Beach, Florida starting at 3:29 PM ET in the Ocean Center with the Preliminary round of the competition.

NCA College Nationals Championship History:

Texas Tech has been coming to NCA Nationals for over 20 years. For the past 10 years TTU has finished in top 3.  

In 2017, the Red Raiders won Division lA and were named NCA Grand National Champions.


What are your team’s style and strengths this year?

"High energy, fun, clean routine," explained TTU Head Coach Bruce Bills. "We made the whole routine to fit each athlete’s skill set where it’s able to showcase each one but also contributes to making the whole team’s performance that much better."


How many athletes throw standing fulls are in your routine this season?

7 toe-touch fulls and 2 standing fulls


How many baskets are being thrown in your routine?

7 total: 3 synchronized Toe Fulls, 3 synchronized Ball-Split-Fulls, 1 Full.


What would you say is the most impressive building skill in your routine this year?

"We’ve really spent time on our Elite Stunts to make them solid, unassisted, and consistent. We throw 6 back handspring full ups and 6 cartwheel ups." - Bruce Bills
