There were many bright spots throughout the competition at the 2019 UCA & UDA Mile High Championship. We saw routines from teams that wowed us, and we saw individuals step up to lead their teams in impressive fashion.

When you hear the name "Diamond Elite" announced, it's natural to assume that the team walking on the mat will be the epitome of the shining gem: They will shine bright for all to see, they will be fierce, and they will be flawless. If you have ever been to a competition with the Denver-based program, then you know that they more than live up to that assumption.

The 2019 national champions in Large Varsity Division l are back again this season and don’t appear to be slowing down one bit. Fossil Ridge came to the UCA & UDA Mile High Championship in Denver, Colorado and knocked their routine out of the park to earn the victory.

The 2019 UCA & UDA Mile High Championship in Denver, Colorado, played host to some great cheerleading for teams all across the state and region.

We’ve seen some impressive All Star cheerleading today at the 2019 NCA North Texas Classic with teams taking the mat for the first time this season. Arguably one of the most impressive routines of the day came from the Reigning L3 Senior Coed D2 NCA Champions: Alliance Cheer Elite RIOT!

For most teams, the first competition of the season might be a little nerve-racking, however, this wasn’t the case for the Junior Level 1 team from Thunder Extreme! Wind hit the floor hard with a jam-packed routine that pulled out all the stops, including squad tumbling and an elite stunt complete with a stretch-to-stretch element. 

It is not an easy thing to stand out in the crowd. At times, school cheerleading competitions can feel overwhelming with the vast number of athletes and teams that are vying for titles each season.  The ability to consistently find a way to break through and be among the cream of the crop is rare, but the Eaglecrest High School cheerleaders have it.

The Go Be Great Award is an award given out by NCA when they see a program going above and beyond the call of cheerleading to make the world a better place. NCA doesn't give it out at every event—only when they see a program who surpasses the requirements.
