Champions Challenge Division Grand Champions To Be Announced!

This season, more than one thousand teams were fortunate enough to earn Gold Bids to The U.S. Finals and thousands more earned their way to The U.S. Finals by placing in the top three of their division at one of their qualifying events.

Only about a quarter of those teams moved onto the Champions Challenge which is a virtual championship that combines winners from all locations into one final event!

Winners of the Champions Challenge will be announced right here on Varsity TV on May 22, 2019, at 7 PM ET  and teams will be rewarded with new rings for every athlete and a team banner!

Here is how the Champions Challenge works:

Round 1:

Teams must compete and win their division at a U.S. Finals event. Click HERE to view full results from the 2018-2019 season.

Round 2:

Champion teams from split divisions will be combined at your location to advance just one team to The Final Round.

  • Videos of division winners in split divisions who were not judged on the same judging panel live will be watched and one team will be chosen to advance to The Final Round. Video review notes will be emailed to coaches.
  • Coed teams will be combined with all girl teams in all divisions.
  • Example: If Level 2 Junior is split small and medium and/or D1 and D2 at your location, only one team will advance to represent Level 2 Junior.

Round 3:

Winners advancing to The Final Round were announced in the evening on social media each #WinnerWednesday following a U.S. Finals event weekend.

The Final Round:

The U.S. Finals hosted a virtual championship in The U.S. Finals office this past weekend.

A fresh panel of judges was brought in to watch the videos and rescore all of the teams who advanced to The Final Round. Score sheets and division breakdowns from The Final Round will be emailed to coaches.

The winners of this round will be crowned our Champions Challenge Division Grand Champions and they will be rewarded with new rings for every athlete and a team banner!

The final #WinnerWednesday will be May 22, 2019, at 7 PM ET and all winners will be revealed in a special webcast right here on Varsity TV!
