Beast Of The East Program To Watch: Star Athletics

Star Athletics is kicking off their competition season with all eight of their all star teams taking the stage in Atlantic City at the 2020 Beast of the East Winter Nationals.

Beast of the East is one of Star Athletics’ favorite events of the season and they’ve been attending since 2013.

“We love kicking off our year getting to see all the programs from the Northeast and competing amongst the strongest in the region,” shared Star Athletics Owner, Lee Grobstein.

Last season, five teams from Star Athletics took home bids to The Summit at this event and they are hoping to repeat that success this weekend with two days’ worth of strong performances.

Senior Red, the gym’s Senior XSmall Level 6 team, took the mat earlier today and put on a strong Day 1 performance. Their routine featured creative stunt transitions, inversions, and lots of confidence.

“Senior Red has a whole new look and vibe this season,” shared Grobstein. “Red is a rookie team with over 75% of the team being new to Level 6. We are already so proud of this team’s intense work ethic which started right from team placement. Every single week, and sometimes even practice to practice, one of the athletes' masters a new Level 6 skill.”

Another strong team to be on the lookout for today from Star Athletics is Senior Black. For the past seven years, Senior Black has competed in the Level 4 division. This year, they have moved up to Level 5 in the Senior Small division.

“This team has inspired the program with their enthusiasm and industriousness. This routine is jam-packed with skills every second and a high energy performance quality, you are definitely going to want to watch this team’s stunt technique.”

Senior Black's motto this season has been “Black Don’t Slack” and the talented athletes are ready to make an impact with their performance today. Tune into Varsity TV today at 6:20 PM ET to watch Senior Black make their Level 5 debut.

2020 marks Star Athletics’ 10th season and the gym is ready to put on a show. All eight teams are looking to raise the bar and continue being a stand-out amongst the different divisions they represent.

Don’t miss your chance to watch the teams from Star Athletics start their season this weekend at the 2020 Beast of the East Winter Nationals!
