There's nothing small about the stage presence of the 20 teams competing in the Small Varsity Team Performance division at the 2020 NDA Dance National Championship. 

A Team Performance routine is all about creativity, versatility and energy. In this division, teams must include 30 seconds of four genres of dance, Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom and Kick! Props are not required, but many find surprising ways to incorporate poms into their costumes.  

Every performance had an air of electricity that captivated the audience with the inventive ways teams tackled this challenging division. 

The Day 1 performances determine who will advance through prelims, with only 60% of each division moving onto finals. Teams in finals will start with a clean slate, competing in reverse order of their prelims placements.

So now it's time to reveal who earned a place in Saturday's Small Varsity Team Performance finals. These are the top 5 performances from Day 1.
