The Votes Are In: NCA & NDA College Showcase Fan Favorites!

We hope you enjoyed the 2020 NCA & NDA College Showcase as you experienced a walk down memory lane, interviews from college coaches and athletes, and routine clips from the 2019-2020 season! If you weren’t able to tune in during the showcase, watch the full replay HERE.

Over 395,000 votes were casted and it’s time to announce the 2020 NCA & NDA College Showcase Fan Favorites! Cheer and dance lovers casted their votes in 14 divisions and selected their favorite team showcased in the stream on Thursday, April 9th. Let’s take a look at the winners!

Game Day

University of North Texas

The game day division received our largest number of responses with over 110,000 votes! It was a close race between the University of North Texas and North Carolina State University with only 1,000 votes separating the two. The University of North Texas received 49,513 votes, almost 45% of the division's responses, making them the fan-favorite in the game day division. Watch their routine clip!

Dance


Jazz

Texas Tech University

The Jazz division received a total of 45,571 responses with Texas Tech University taking the top fan-favorite spot with 12,520 total votes! The University of Texas came in second with 9,078 votes. Take a look at the clip from Texas Tech University Jazz!

Pom

Texas Tech University

The Pom division had 20,017 total responses with Texas Tech University also taking the top spot in the division with 9,434 votes! Eastern Kentucky University came in second with Loyola University – Chicago in a close third with only about 500 votes separating the two teams. Hip Hop

Odessa College

The Hip Hop division totaled 16,608 responses with Odessa College coming out on top in the fan-favorite vote with 4,710 votes! Sacred Heart University wasn’t far behind, taking second. Watch Odessa College’s Hip Hop clip!

Team Performance

Sam Houston State University

The Team Performance division totaled 23,559 responses with Sam Houston State University coming out on top with 4,960 votes! Alma College wasn’t far behind with 4,432 votes in the Team Performance division. Watch Sam Houston State University’s Team Performance clip!

Intermediate All Girl

Texas A&M University

The Intermediate All Girl division totaled 37,079 votes with Texas A&M University receiving the fan-favorite with 10,734 votes! Saint Joseph’s University came in second with 7,448 responses in the Intermediate All Girl division. Watch Texas A&M University’s fan-favorite winning clip!

Intermediate Coed

Kansas State University

The Intermediate Coed division received 24,815 responses and Kansas State University won the fan-favorite vote with 8,857 total responses! King University came in second 5,723 votes in the Intermediate Coed division. Watch Kansas State University’s clip from the 2020 NCA & NDA College Showcase!

Advanced All Girl

Alma College

The Advanced All Girl division claimed 30,668 votes with Alma College receiving 30% of those votes, totaling 9,249 responses. California Baptist University came in second behind Alama in the fan-favorite vote. Take a look at Alma College’s clip!

Advanced Coed

Sam Houston State University

The Advanced Coed division had 5,874 responses Sam Houston State University receiving 64% of the votes with 3,765 votes! Grand Valley State not far behind with 2,107 votes in the Advanced Coed division. Check out Sam Houston State University’s routine clip!

Advanced Small Coed

North Carolina State University

The Advanced Small Coed division received the second-highest number of responses of 45,971. North Carolina State University took the fan-favorite vote with 16,086 votes and Utah Valley University in second with 12,936 votes. Take a look at NC State’s fan-favorite winning clip!

Advanced Large Coed

Texas Tech University

The Advanced Large Coed division received a total of 8,966 responses, and Texas Tech University takes the top spot in the fan-favorite with 4,454, almost half of the division responses! Mascot

University of South Carolina - Cocky the Gamecock

The Mascot division received 5,163 votes with Cocky The Gamecock from the University of South Carolina taking the fan-favorite with 2,858 votes! In second was Truman the Tiger from the University of Missouri and Cy the Cardinal from Iowa State University in third. Take a look at Cocky the Gamecock’s routine clip!

Utah Valley University 

The Group Stunt division received a total of 13,244 responses and Utah Valley University took the top fan favorite vote with 4,895 votes! California Baptist University took second after Utah Valley and Same Houston State in third. Watch Utah Valley’s Group Stunt routine!

Partner Stunt

The University of Kentucky - Brooke & Ricky

The Partner Stunt division received 8,196 responses total with the University of Kentucky (Brooke and Ricky) receiving the top fan favorite vote with 2,047 votes!
