Top school teams from across the U.S. will head to Dallas, Texas, to compete for a national championship title January 22-23 at the 2022 NCA High School Nationals! We’re getting excited and can’t wait to see the elite skills and spirited traditions these teams will put on display.
While there are teams that have been competing at the championship for many years, we also have a few teams that will be competing at NCA High School Nationals for the first time this weekend!
While we prepare to watch one of the biggest high school cheer events of the year, let’s look at four teams who will be taking the stage to prove that the work is worth it for the very first time at NCA!
Waukee Northwest High School

Waukee Northwest High School is not only competing for the first time at NCA, but they are also a first-year cheer program! They have no seniors on their team and are a small team of 12. Their coach Miranda Conner said, “The future looks bright, and we are excited to attend our very first NCA High School Nationals in Dallas, Texas, in January!”
