Grapevine Leads The Spirit Program Division At NCA
Grapevine High School is leading the way in the exciting Spirit Program division after a show-stopping Day 1 performance at NCA High School Nationals.
The Spirit Program division is all about unifying the different teams within a school to create the ultimate game day experience. This division not only allows the use of traditional sideline cheer and dance teams but also the incorporation of members of the school Marching Band, Pep Band, Drum Line, Mascot(s), Spirit Group/Club, etc.
The primary responsibility of Spirit Programs is to develop and implement effective methods of generating excitement which often requires close coordination between various campus groups.
Each performance in the Spirit Program division must consist of a Crowd Leading section, a Band Chant section, and a Fight Song section.
This weekend there are six spirited teams taking on the Spirit Program division at NCA High School Nationals: Grapevine High School, Bridge Creek High School, Paramus Catholic High School, Bishop McGuinness High School, Sunset High School, and Anderson High School.
Grapevine High School is leading the way in the Spirit Program division with a Day 1 score of 94.4667.
Finals will take place on Sunday in A-Hall starting at 5:29 PM CT. Be sure to tune in to Varsity TV to watch history in the making and to cheer on these spirit teams!
