It's time to BLAST-OFF into the start of the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship qualifying competitions with the UCA Space Center Regional! The 2022 UCA Space Center Regional is October 22nd-23rd and teams will be traveling to Huntsville, AL, to compete for an opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level later this spring.

If you’re heading to the 2022 UCA Space Center Regional in Huntsville, AL, we’ve got the inside scoop on the event venue and things to do while you’re in the area! The 2022 UCA Space Center Regional will be held in the Von Braun Convention Center in Huntsville, AL.

There are numerous options for parking close to the competition, with parking garages offered by both the Von Braun Center and City Parking. Here’s where to go if you’re planning ahead on where to park.

The Competition 

Teams will be competing their traditional, game day, and recreational routines in hopes of earning that bid to compete at the NHSCC in sunny Orlando, FL, and gain the experience of a lifetime! 

With the UCA game day division growing, teams will be bringing their own traditions from their school to the UCA Space Center Regional to showcase what their hometown game day is like! Game day routines consist of a band chant, a situational sideline, a cheer, and ends in the team’s very own fight song!

Coming to defend their titles in the game day divisions are the programs of Sparkman High School, Rockvale High School, Hendersonville High School, and more! Returning to reclaim titles in the traditional Varsity categories includes the teams of Brentwood High School, James Clemens High School, and Page High School.
