It’s that time of year again! Dance teams from across the United States will be taking over Orlando, Florida for the 2023 UDA National Dance Team Championship!

Get your Mickey ears ready, because you're visiting the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando!

The 2023 UDA National Dance Team Championship will be held within the State Farm Field House, the Visa Athletic Center, and the AdventHealth Arena. Semi-Finalist and Finalist announcements will take place in The Stadium. Take a virtual tour of the facility before you arrive to navigate the space like a pro.

Looking to grab a quick bite to eat? There will be food trucks located around the complex for a quick meal before you compete.



Taking a break from the competition or celebrating a winning routine? Visit one of the four magical Walt Disney World Theme Parks or head down to Disney Springs for some shopping!

Celebrating 40 Years of NDTC!

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of NDTC, UDA is inviting dancers from competing teams to perform with the UDA Staff for an Opening Number to kick off the ESPN show!  The Opening Number has been a tradition since the beginning of the event and UDA is excited to bring it back to celebrate this milestone birthday for NDTC.

WHO: We invite 2 dancers from each school team to participate and 2 dancers from each All Star Division that the program is competing in to participate (Example: All Star program is competing in the Youth, Junior, and Senior Divisions (doesn’t matter how many routines), they can have 2 Youth dancers, 2 Junior dancer, and 2 Senior dancers participate.

WHAT: Dancers will take the floor with members of the UDA Staff to kick off the ESPN show. Dancers will be sent an email with a small amount of choreography in the middle of December to learn prior to arriving in Orlando.

WHEN: Once in Orlando, there will be one rehearsal on Saturday and then we will record for the ESPN show on Sunday.  The exact times will be released once the order of competition is out.

WHAT DO WE WEAR: Dancers participating should wear one of your school's uniforms, preferably one with your team name on it during the performance.

We will send more information out in December with the choreography and look forward to having everyone join this exciting performance!

Taking a look back at last year’s competition, teams brought the heat and proved they have what it takes to take home a national championship title. 

Some teams returning to defend their title include Liberty High School, St Thomas More Catholic School, and Millard North High School! Who will end up on top this year? Tune in to Varsity TV to watch as each program takes the floor in Orlando!
