Game Day Traditions Of Baylor University

Before taking the sidelines on game day, the Spirit Squad at Baylor University leads the community in long-standing traditions. Four hours before kickoff, the teams meet to start  bringing spirit across campus. Baylor University has one-of-a-kind traditions that they take great pride in!

One of the fan favorite traditions is the Bear Walk. This is when the cheerleaders, pom squad, and fans create a tunnel that leads the football team into McLane Stadium. The energy is always high and fans love to be the first to welcome their team into the stadium while they share encouraging words and show their support! After the football team heads into the locker room to suit up for the game, the BU Spirit Squads lead fans in traditional Baylor chants at the HEB tailgate!

Before the game begins, you'll see one of the longest-standing traditions: the Baylor Line. The freshman students are all invited to the field to welcome in the team and get the action started! Watch the full video to see all of the pregame traditions from game day at Baylor!
