48 Teams Win Points To The League At Encore Atlanta Showdown
Forty-eight teams from 11 programs competed in Atlanta, Georgia and more than 18,000 points were awarded towards The League by Varsity All Star.
Encore Atlanta 2023 was a showdown indeed! Forty-eight teams from 11 programs competed in Atlanta, Georgia, a hotspot for competitive cheerleading. More than 18,000 points were awarded for each team’s ranking towards The League by Varsity All Star, giving teams a headstart before we head into the competitive 2023-2024 season.
Winning these early points will be helpful when the official standings for The League by Varsity All Star come out in early 2024. Teams compete in eight divisions all season long across five regions: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and Northwest. Varsity All Star will use the top 6 event point totals to determine regional rankings. Varsity All Star will also award prizes for teams who take home the most cumulative points nationally. In short - all points will come into play at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
Two teams, The Stingray All Stars UV and Pink, scored over a 98 in their first competition, which landed them 400 points each. Seven other teams, including A-Towne Athletics Elite Sapphires, The Stingray All Stars Royal, ATA Electric, Winnersville Elite Indigo, A-Towne Athletics Elite Vybe, The Stingray All Stars Moonlight, and The Stingray All Stars Lime, scored over a 97! Each of those teams won between 372 and 400 points for The League. Congratulations to those teams for taking the mat in a big way!
The Stingray All Stars won 5,748 points and was the D1 program leader. Georgia All Stars took home 2,344 points and was the D2 program leader. Check out who received points to The League by Varsity All Star below.

The League by Varsity All Star
The League by Varsity All Star is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every team who competes at a Varsity All Star Event this season will be included in The League by Varsity All Star. Team rankings are determined by the Points System displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your top 5 Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank. In total, 120 winners will be recognized from 1st – 3rd place across each region. One champion will be crowned in each of the 5 regions across the 8 eligible divisions, meaning 40 champions will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
