The folks at Nation’s Choice may only put on a couple of events each year, but when they do, they bring the professionalism and fun. 

The 2024 Nation’s Choice Grand Nationals at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, will be the second event on this season’s calendar, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage.

Nation’s Choice has been around since 2009, offering teams the chance to customize their competitive experiences, battle against the best and earn bids to the year’s most prestigious events – all while gaining experience and making memories.

What To Know About The Kalahari Resort

Wisconsin’s Kalahari Resort offers far more than just a competition venue for the All Star cheer teams. It’s actually a full-service vacation destination that includes meeting and convention facilities.  

For the cheerleaders and their guests, that means non-stop fun for the weekend, as the facility combines one of the nation’s largest indoor waterparks with an African theme. There are four such properties across the country.

Guests will get to enjoy the water activities (202,000 square feet of waterpark), family entertainment centers, spas, restaurants, and, of course, space to get on stage and compete. The convention space alone is 215,000 square feet with plans for growth. 

Since everything is under one roof, including 1,000 guest rooms, there’s no need to even venture outside to endure the Wisconsin weather as winter approaches.

Things To Do In The Wisconsin Dells

As noted above, the Kalahari Resort has everything competitors and their guests could need for a memorable weekend of competition and fun, so there’s really no need to venture away from the property, and everything is included!

Guests can enjoy the waterpark, free WIFI, a science center/exploratory, a wildlife park, a family entertainment/gaming center, golf, escape rooms, bowling, shopping, and world-class dining.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in The Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
