It's gearing up to be a GRAND ole time at the 2024 WSF Grand Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky! Folks are getting ready for the holiday season, but we're getting ready for the all star season - AKA the most wonderful time of the year! December means the all star cheer season is officially in full swing with teams getting ready to show off their routines for some of the first times this season! WSF Grand Nationals is a big opportunity for all these teams as it marks the one of the first 600 point event of the year for The Varsity Cheer League! Those teams who earn first place & 600 points have a chance to jump ahead in the season-long points race!

To get you ready for the big event, here's a look at some key storylines to look out for at the 2024 WSF Grand Nationals! 

2024 WSF Grand Nationals Key Storylines

1. Jumping Ahead in The Varsity Cheer League 

Grand Nationals season marks a great opportunity to start picking up points to jump ahead in The Varsity Cheer League. Season 3 is already underway with some teams already racking up points. WSF Grand Nationals is one of the first opportunities of the season to earn those 600 points! Next to Super Nationals events (worth 700 points), Grand Nationals are the next best way to pick up a significant amount of points. Historically, we've seen that teams that finish strong in The Varsity Cheer League final standings really get ahead by picking up a large number of points early on in the season. In the League 6 Coed conference, GymTyme Illinois Fever finished in second place last season with 3,598 points. Fever will be back in action this weekend at WSF Grand Nationals with an opportunity to pick up some of their first points of the season. 

2. Our First Look At Big Time Contenders

The lineup for WSF Grand Nationals is going to be loaded and full of plenty of talent, especially when it comes to Level 6! An event like this happening early on in the season gives fans their first chance to take a look at some of their favorite Level 6 teams. There is a loaded list of teams set to take the stage, including plenty of USASF Worlds medalists, and teams who finished strong in The Varsity Cheer League! 3. Great Opportunity To Earn Early Bids

WSF Grand Nationals provides teams with a great opportunity to secure their invite to end-of-season events, EARLY! Level 6 teams have the opportunity to secure their ticket to the 2025 USASF Cheerleading Worlds with four full paid bids on the line, and eight At-Large bids. There are also opportunities to earn bids to The Summit, The D2 Summit, The Youth Summit, The Rec Summit and The Regional Summit. Plenty of reigning Summit Champions will be in the house at the 2024 WSF Grand Nationals, including Rain Athletics Weather Girls, Central Jersey All Stars Bombsquad and TAI Artic5 to name a few.
