Taking The Stage For The First Time: 

Competitions like this are where things start to get real!! For most of these teams & programs, it will be their first time competing on stage this season! It's the first chance for fans to see the new routines this season, it's a time to show off new program uniforms, and a great opportunity for teams to make a statement to start off the season strong! Most programs have showed off their routines to family & friends at their program showcases, but now it's for real! There's something so special about the feeling one gets when they put on their uniform, do their hair and makeup, experience the thrill of warming up backstage, and the indescribable feeling of performing their routine on stage! It's truly the most wonderful time of the year! 

A Southwest Varsity Cheer League Powerhouse:

When it comes to The Varsity Cheer League, there is a Texas powerhouse that found plenty of success last season across the Southwest region! Woodlands Elite came to play!!! Last season, A Woodlands Elite team took first place in every D1 division across the Southwest region! Not only that, Woodlands Elite took over the top five of most divisions. Here's a look at the reigning League division champions from Woodlands Elite who will be taking the stage this weekend for their first competition! 

• Woodlands Elite - Katy Admirals (D1 Senior Southwest Champion) 
• Woodlands Elite - Katy Spartans (D1 Junior Southwest Champion) 
• Woodlands Elite - OR Stealth (D1 Youth Southwest Champion) 
• Woodlands Elite - OR Colonels (D1 Coed Southwest Champion) 

We also can't forget about The League 6 action we'll see on stage at this event! In The League 6 Coed conference, we're going to see two teams who finished in the top five last season. Stars Vipers San Antonio HISS finished in fourth place last season with 3,574 points, and Woodlands Elite Black Ops finished right behind them in fifth place with 3,569 points. In The League 6 All Girl conference, we'll see Woodlands Elite Generals who finished in fifth place last season with 3,544 points.
