Worlds, Summit & D2 Summit Medalists Set to Take on GSSA Grand Nationals

West Coast teams are gearing up for the first competition weekend of 2025 at the GSSA Grand Nationals 2025, which will take place in Sacramento, CA, from January 11th to 12th. 

It is the first bid weekend of the season and teams will battle it out for bids to end-of-season competitions. The road to The Cheerleading Worlds 2025, The Summit 2025, and The D2 Summit 2025 begins now. Some of the most well-known West Coast gyms are preparing to take the mat such as Fierce Cheer Elite, The California All Stars, American Cheer, California Pride, and more. 

Eight of the teams competing this weekend were medalists at either The Cheerleading Worlds, The Summit, and The D2 Summit. It’s going to be a competitive, entertaining weekend in Sacramento.


2025 GSSA Grand Nationals - What To Look Out For

World Champions Preparing For GSSA

The California All Stars Rangers, the reigning L7 International Open Large Coed World Champions, are set to perform their debut performance of the season. Rangers always come out of the gates swinging, with high-flying stunts and phenomenal technique. We can’t wait to see their new routine. 

Seven Summit and D2 Summit 2024 Medalists Set to Take The Floor

The West Coast showcases great cheerleading every season at end-of-season events and this weekend we’ll get first looks at four Summit 2024 champions including American Cheer JR BLUE, American Cheer SR Black, California Pride Inferno, and The California All Stars - Ontario Steel. We’ll also see Summit 2024 silver medalist The California All Stars - Ontario - Crystal and D2 Summit 2024 bronze medalists, Fierce Cheer Elite Majesty and Thrive Cheer Royals Lady Aces.

These medalists will compete for their bids this weekend in hopes of starting another successful journey to Orlando. 

Fan-Favorites SMOED Return to L6 Senior Small Coed 

The California All Stars SMOED is set to return to the L6 Senior Small Coed division this season after spending the last three seasons in the Global Coed division. SMOED has long been one of the most popular teams in cheerleading, and fans have been anxious for them to return to their original division.
