Things To Do In Bellevue, Washington
Bellevue is about 10 miles from Seattle by car, so don’t miss an opportunity to check out the Emerald City.
Why is it call that? Because no matter what time of year you go, the city is surrounded by beautiful greenery and picturesque landscapes.
If you’re able to make the short trip to Seattle, put on your walking shoes and hit the streets, or use one of the many modes of public transportation – light rail, bus, streetcars, monorail, taxis, shuttles, bikes and scooters.
The also are some can’t-miss sights and opportunities, including the Space Needle, Pikes Place Market, Museum of Flight and the Seattle Aquarium. There are many parks, places to hike – even whale watching!
If you need a pick-me-up, remember that Starbucks originated in Seattle, so you can grab a cup of coffee at the original location. Or, try one of the area’s other brands and do a little taste test.
If you work up an appetite, as you would’ve seen at Pikes Place Market, Washington State is known for terrific seafood and chowders, sushi and hot dogs. Wait, what? Yes, the area has its own spin on the hot dog. The Seattle dog comes with a not-so-secret ingredient on it – cream cheese!
Here are some top places to eat in Seattle.
If you’re limited to Bellevue, you’ll find parks, art, shopping, farmers markets, museums – even a ziplining tour.

The food scene in Bellevue is special, too – award-winning, actually – as it was named one of America’s “Best Suburbs for Foodies” by Thrillist. Check out a list of the must-visit restaurants.
