Insider Info: 2025 UCA Magic City Regional
Everything you need to know to watch the 2025 UCA Magic City Regional on Varsity TV on Nov. 8-9.

The extensive Universal Cheerleaders Association schedule is loaded with top-tier one-day events, but every so often, the best young cheerleaders around take over a host city for an entire weekend.
That will be true Nov. 8-9, when the 2025 UCA Magic City Regional heads to Birmingham, Alabama, for two days of intense competition.
The first day will feature teams from Division II, while Sunday’s action will include Division I and recreational teams.
Fans will be treated to talent of all ages and skill levels, and the competitors will get to enjoy an amazing visit to Magic City, which will keep them busy and entertained when they’re not focused on their routines. The Bill Harris Arena again will play host to the event.
The UCA Magic City Regional is one of nine regional events happening across the country during the busy weekend, but this one is unique because it will take place over two days.
The UCA is built on decades of tradition, and competitions are focused on combining the motivation and excitement of cheerleading and the entertainment of high-level skills and athleticism.
The Magic City Regional is one of almost 50 regional events facilitated across the country each year by UCA, along with the annual UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
By having so many options, teams are able to compete close to home, and maybe more frequently, while keeping expenses down during their quest to qualify for the season-ending events.
Enjoy complete coverage of the 2025 UCA Magic City Regional, as teams go head-to-head with their sights set on a coveted championship and potentially earning spots in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in February 2026.

What To Know About The Bill Harris Arena
By now, the Bill Harris Arena is familiar territory for UCA competitors and their supporters, so they’ll be able to focus more on their performances than finding their way around.
It also means they can revisit their favorite aspects of Magic City, enjoy things they missed before and share the experience with those who are visiting for the first time.
The Bill Harris Arena is part of the expansive Birmingham CrossPlex, a state-of-the-art multi-sport venue, constructed in 2011, that is the proud home to track, swimming, volleyball, cheerleading and more.
The property also includes hospitality and meeting rooms, a broadcast-ready press box, a jumbotron and seating for 4,000, not counting the 500-seat multi-purpose auditorium.
Part of the concept is to attract premier events to the city, ultimately boosting the local economy, while showcasing all the area has to offer. And it’s working, as Birmingham continues to bring in top-level events.
The facility features more than 750,000 square feet of space, a 75,000-square foot floor for track & field, volleyball, gymnastics and more, an Olympic-size pool, 5,000 square feet of meeting space, parking for 1,000, concessions, VIP suites, a spacious and versatile concourse and retail space.
The 5,000-seat Bill Harris Arena is connected to the CrossPlex and features its own 20,000 square feet of versatile space for concerts, sporting events, trade shows, rodeos – even the NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships.
In 2014, the arena underwent a $3 million renovation that included a new LED scoreboard, basketball court, HVAC system and more.
The property also is conveniently located near downtown Birmingham, so entertainment, dining and shopping are just minutes away.
