Aloha, Louisiana and Baton Rouge!

The capital city of Louisiana will be expecting a wave of cheer teams for a trio of events on the weekend of Nov. 15-16, and you can catch all of the action live on Varsity TV.

The first day of the festive weekend will include the 2025 Aloha Baton Rouge Showdown and 2025 NCA Louisiana Regional, while the 2025 UCA Baton Rouge Regional gets the spotlight to itself to close things out.

The Aloha Baton Rouge Showdown will be the first or more than a dozen events on the Aloha Sprit calendar for this season, and one of two scheduled for Nov. 15. The other will be taking place in Trenton, New Jersey.

For almost 25 years (founded in 2001), Aloha Spirt and the Aloha Spirit Championships have been bringing a little bit of Hawaii to cities across the United States, and if there’s anything that can rival a Mardi Gras parade, it just might be an authentic Hawaiian luau.

Each Aloha Spirit event brings a bit of Hawaiian flair to each competition. At the luau-themed events, there is an emphasis on “Ohana” or family, and even the awards share the same sentiment.

Another special feature of each event is a 3-foot custom trophy known as the KA MAHALO Award. It is given to the team that exemplifies the spirit of the islands and displays above-and-beyond sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The three-event weekend in Baton Rouge will allow cheer teams of all ages and skill levels to showcase their abilities, and the Aloha Baton Rouge Showdown will be the opportunity for the All Star teams to take over the Raising Cane’s River Center.

Enjoy complete coverage of the Aloha Baton Rouge Showdown, as teams go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The Varsity Cheer League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Baton Rouge River Center

The expansive property at the Raising Cane’s River Center in downtown Baton Rouge includes three venues that offer plenty of seating and flexible floor plans, making the area the perfect host for any kind of event.

The property features a convention center, theatre for performing arts and an arena.

For larger events, the grand ballroom and exhibition hall offer more than 200,000 square feet of versatile space, plus meeting rooms, concessions and a kitchen area. It’s perfect for conventions, trade shows, exhibitions – even the world’s largest bowling tournament, which was held there in 2005 and 2012 and will return in 2025.

The theatre seats 1,700 and is the perfect venue for shows, plays, musicals, ballets and more.

When more space is needed, the arena features 10,000 seats and is ideal for concerts, graduations, sporting events, performances – anything really.
