Insider Info: 2025 CSG Indy Challenge

The Champion Spirit Group may not put on a lot of events each year, but the ones that do take place definitely shine a spotlight on the Midwest and the area’s deep pool of cheer talent.

The 2025 CSG Indy Challenge on Nov. 9 is the second of six competitions on the 2025-2026 CSG calendar, and the slate will see All Star cheer teams head to six cities across four states from November to mid-March. The CSG season will kick off Nov. 8 with the CSG Peoria Challenge in Peoria, Illinois.

Over the years, Indianapolis has become a regular destination for top-tier cheer events, including past editions of the CSG Indy Challenge, and while the event will visit the area again in 2025, the venue will be different.

This time, the action will shift from the Indianapolis Convention Center to the nearby Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana, a drive of only about 20 miles, so the experience will be familiar, but new and exciting at the same time.

The Midwest-based CSG, founded in 2005, is known for creating a fun atmosphere and family-friendly environment around its events – one-day competitions, dance-only events and two-day national championships.

Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as athletes of all skill levels (prep, novice and rec teams) go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The Varsity Cheer League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Fishers Event Center

The 2025 CSG Indy Challenge is headed back to the Indianapolis area, but competitors and fans will need to learn their way around a new city and new venue, as the action is moving about 20 miles, from the Indianapolis Convention Center to the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana.

The Fishers Event Center opened in 2024, so it’s a state-of-the-art facility with all of the modern conveniences necessary to host everything from sporting events to concerts – and anything in between.

The venue features more than 200,000 square feet of versatile space to help each of those events fit flawlessly, while 65,000 square feet of plaza space offers a more intimate alternative.

The Fishers Events Center was built on a 53-acre site that put it in close proximity to the growing Fishers District, an 18-acre area filled with dining and retail options.

The facility seats 7,500 and already is home to the Indy Fuel, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, the Indy Ignite women’s professional volleyball team and the Fishers Freight of the 14-team Indoor Football League.

Things To Do In Fishers, Indiana

We already mentioned the amazing dining and retail spots that make up the Fishers District, so let’s talk a little more about what you can find there.

The 18-acre area includes more than a dozen restaurants, shopping, lounges, craft cocktails, entertainment (Topgolf, The Hot Yoga Room, The Escape Room Fishers), lodging, luxury living – even a meat market.

See all the specifics about Fishers District here.

Since Fishers is considered a small city, the experience should be a little more laid back than competitors and their guests may have experienced in bustling Indianapolis, but for anyone still looking to enjoy the thrill of the big city, it’s only a short drive away.

If you’re a fan of professional sports, perhaps that means a trip over to Lucas Oil Stadium for a tour of the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, or to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the home of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, neither team will be playing at home during the weekend of the 2025 CSG Indy Challenge.

Beyond the Colts and the Pacers, why not enjoy all things Indianapolis 500/Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indianapolis Zoo, White River State Park, museums, ghost tours and so much history, as the city was founded in 1820.

When it’s time to grab a bite, there are a few things only Indiana can offer – famous pork tenderloin sandwiches, pulled pork, square donuts and many craft beers. And sugar cream pie.

If you are able to make it to Indianapolis proper, here is a comprehensive list of the all the area’s best dining options, courtesy of VisitIndy.com.

Every team that competes at a Varsity All Star event this season will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the point system displayed here

At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 92 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the six eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences. Champions will win cash and prizes!
