The UCA/UDA Mile High Regional returns to the Mile High City in 2025, but competitors will get to experience the event in a new venue, as the action moves to the Colorado Convention Center in the heart of downtown Denver. 

Whether you’re a cheer or dance fan, you won’t want to miss a minute of the action on Nov. 15. Even if you can’t be there in person, Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event!

The Universal Cheerleaders Association was founded 50 years ago with the goal of bringing together the motivation and excitement of cheerleading and the entertainment of high-level skills and athleticism. 

Now an industry leader, UCA is responsible for approximately 50 virtual and regional events each year, along with the annual UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The efforts of the Universal Dance Association continue to prepare high school and collegiate dancers for high-level competition and the biggest stages, with more than 20 competitions across the country each year allowing teams to earn bids to end their competition season at the Walt Disney World Resort at the UDA National Dance Team Championship!

What To Know About The Colorado Convention Center

When competitors at the UCA/UDA Mile High Regional arrive at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, they’ll get to experience an iconic venue that recently was renovated to make sure it remains one of the nation’s state-of-the-art facilities.

The Colorado Convention Center originally opened in 1990 and was expanded in 2005 and 2024. It now features more than 2.2 million square feet of space across three levels, with an exhibit hall, 63 meeting rooms, three ballrooms, a theatre, and a 20,000-square-foot terrace.

All of that grandeur is within walking distance of 13,000 hotel rooms, 300 restaurants, nine theatres in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and all of the amazing history and culture downtown Denver has to offer, while still being close enough to the parks and peaks that make up the areas picturesque mountainous landscape.

It would be hard to think about Colorado without picturing the Rocky Mountains, so exploring the mountains, Pikes Peak, Echo Lake and any of the area’s countless other outdoor spaces is a no-brainer, assuming time and weather allow for such adventures.
