What To Know About The Farm Bureau Exposition Center

The Farm Bureau Exposition Center may be one of the newer venues on the cheer scene, but it quickly is becoming familiar territory for cheer and dance events each year.

The facility, which opened in 2016, is versatile and convenient, as it’s located about 25 miles from Nashville, but it’s far enough away to be a premier venue in a cozy, small-town environment.

The Farm Bureau Exposition Center was built with the hope of bringing a variety of events to the Nashville area each year – agricultural, entertainment, sports, meetings, festivals, weddings, commercial events and more – and that’s exactly what’s happening.

Since the venue is about 20 minutes from Nashville International Airport, traveling in and out for events is convenient.

The property features 79,000 square feet of meeting space, the newest technology and the ability to provide all of the amenities an event might require.

The Main Exhibit Hall is 45,000 square feet of flexible space, while the carpeted South Hall is 7,000 square feet for more intimate events.

On-site complementary parking simplifies travel in and out even more.

And while the top-notch Farm Bureau Exposition Center is important, it’s just a small part of the James E. Ward Agricultural Grounds, which is where the Wilson County Fair has been held since 1979. Since 2021, the area also has hosted the Tennessee State Fair.

The Wilson County Fairgrounds holds the Tennessee State Fair in conjunction with the Wilson County Fair each year in mid-August. The dates for 2026 will be Aug. 13-22.

Things To Do In Lebanon, Tennessee

If you didn’t already realize, while the event is called the ASC King of the Jungle Nashville Showdown, it’s neither in the jungle nor actually in Nashville.

The official host city is Lebanon, Tennessee, which is minutes from downtown Nashville, but far enough away to feel like a completely different world.

For those who follow current events, you would’ve seen that Cracker Barrel was in the news quite a bit in 2025. But did you know it originated in Lebanon in 1969, and the company’s headquarters still operates there?

Lebanon’s location in Middle Tennessee allows for visitors to enjoy a quaint, small-town experience and hospitality, with the majestic Tennessee landscapes as an unforgettable backdrop.

At the same time, being so close to Nashville means easy access to the airport and all of the amazing things America’s Music City has to offer – a vibrant, eclectic and musical change of pace whenever needed.

If planned correctly, athletes and guests in town for the 2025 ASC King of the Jungle Nashville Showdown can enjoy a little bit of each aspect of the area.

When there is some time away from the competition stage, here’s a list things to do in Lebanon.

When it’s time to eat, there are some staples you’ll want to try while in Middle Tennessee – Nashville hot chicken, Memphis barbecue, Tennessee whiskey, fried catfish, stack cake, Moon Pie and sweet tea.

If you can find the time for a quick visit to Nashville, the area will offer countless entertainment venues, sporting events, museums, art, restaurants, music along the Honky Tonk Highway, the Music City Walk of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
