When the 2025 Spirit Celebration Christmas Grand Nationals heads to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas on Dec. 6-7, the All Star cheer teams will bring a whole new meaning to holiday spirit, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the event. 

The event will combine the magic of Christmas and the holiday season with the spirit and intensity of competition to provide athletes, guests and spectators with countless memories from the Lone Star State.

Along with what happens on stage, the event also supports local charities by hosting a toy drive, so competitors and their guests can have a tangible impact on the community, too.

What To Know About The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center features a million square feet of exhibit space, three ballrooms, 88 meeting rooms, a 1,750-seat theater, and a 9,816-seat arena, and it’s connected to a hotel with more than 1,000 rooms.

The venue has established itself as one of the premier, and busiest, destinations in the country by welcoming a variety of events. The list includes many types of conventions, meetings, concerts, competitions, sporting events, and trade shows.

Many of the cheer teams and their supporters likely will be familiar with the venue and the area, as it has become a frequent stop for top-tier cheer and dance events.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every all star elite team in Youth, Junior, and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
