Once again Nation’s Choice is all about quality over quantity, pouring all of the organization’s effort into two premier events each season. 

Up next is the 2025 Nation’s Choice Grand Nationals at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage on Dec. 13-14.

The year’s other Nation’s Choice event, the Nation’s Choice Dance Grand Championship & Cheer Showdown, was held in Madison, Wisconsin, from Nov. 14-16.

Nation’s Choice has been part of the All Star cheer and dance landscape since 2009, offering teams the chance to customize their competitive experiences, battle against the best and earn bids to the year’s most prestigious events – all while gaining experience and making memories. 

The competitions also are contested with an emphasis on fairness, sportsmanship and a fun atmosphere for the whole family, not just the competitors.

What To Know About The Kalahari Resort

Just by going to Nation’s Choice Grand Nationals at Wisconsin’s Kalahari Resort, the competitors already have won.

No matter what happens on the competition stage, they get to spend the weekend at a full-service vacation destination that also happens to include meeting and convention facilities.  

For the cheerleaders and their guests, that means non-stop fun, as the facility in combines one of America’s largest indoor waterparks with an African theme. There are four such award-winning properties across the country. Kalahari was voted the No. 1 Best Indoor Water Park by the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Guests will get to enjoy the water activities (202,000 square feet of waterpark), family entertainment centers, spas, restaurants and, of course, space to get on stage and compete. The convention space alone is 215,000 square feet with plans for growth. 

Since everything is under one roof, including 1,000 guest rooms, there’s no need to even venture outside to endure the Wisconsin weather as winter approaches.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every All Star elite team in Youth, Junior and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the point system displayed here. 

At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 92 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the six eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences. Champions will win cash and prizes!
