Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, and some of the best All Star Cheer teams in the country will be there to put on a show during the 2025 The American Grand Grand Nationals.

The event will head to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on The Strip and all of the action on Dec. 20-21 will be broadcast live on Varsity TV!

American Championship Events are conducted with only the best in mind – first-class warm-up areas, elevated performance floors or raised spectator seating, a state-of-the-art judging system with video replay, and awards worthy of Olympic champions.

What To Know About The Mandalay Bay Convention Center

Mandalay Bay is one of the most iconic properties on The Strip in Las Vegas, and it includes a little bit of everything, nearly serving as a one-stop spot for those in town for a special event.

There’s a hotel, multiple entertainment venues, an expansive gaming floor, countless dining options, a spa, salon, exciting nightlife, meeting spaces of varying sizes, a unique Shark Reef & Seascape Ballroom, lounges – even an 11-acre beach area.

The Mandalay Bay Convention Center is attached to the resort and has been open since 2003, originally boasting 1.5 million square feet of event space. In 2014, another 350,000 square feet of exhibition space and more parking were added. Technology updates and more upgrades followed starting in 2022.

The facility is now the fifth-largest convention center in the United States.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every All Star elite team in Youth, Junior and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the point system displayed here. 

At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 92 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the six eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences. Champions will win cash and prizes!
