Insider Info: 2026 Aloha Portland Showdown
Everything you need to know to watch the 2026 Aloha Portland Showdown on Varsity TV on Jan. 10-11.

The Aloha Sprit Championships had a busy kickoff month in November, before things slowed down – briefly.
The organization returns in the new year with five January events, including the 2026 Aloha Portland Showdown in Portland, Oregon, on Jan. 10-11. The weekend also will feature the Aloha Baltimore Showdown.
The Aloha Portland Showdown is back at the familiar Oregon Convention Center, and back on Varsity TV, so you don’t have to journey to the Pacific Northwest to watch the action.
Since 2001, Aloha Spirit events have been bringing a bit of Hawaiian flair to each event and host city. At the luau-themed competitions, there is an emphasis on “Ohana” or family, and even the awards share the same theme.
Another special feature of each event is a 3-foot custom trophy known as the KA MAHALO Award. It is given to the team that exemplifies the spirit of the islands and displays above-and-beyond sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as teams from Division I and Division II go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The Varsity Cheer League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Oregon Convention Center
Competitors returning to Portland, Oregon, and the Oregon Convention Center for the 2026 Aloha Portland Showdown should know their way around pretty well, as the venue has been a longtime home for the competition.
The OCC also is a huge part of the Portland economy, bringing in more than $330 million each year. To have so many events and repeat business, the hospitality has to be unmatched.
The convention center features 255,000 square feet of column-free exhibit space, more than 50 versatile meeting rooms, two ballrooms, three VIP suites and a large outdoor area, which probably won’t get much use in January – but, you never know. There’s also spacious underground parking and state-of-the-art technology.
