During the 2025-2026 Spirit Sports Cheer & Dance season, more than a dozen events will bring competitors to locations across the United States and into Canada.

Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Broadmoor World Arena have become a regular part of the Spirit Sports history and tradition, and that will continue in 2026.

The second competition on the schedule, and the first of the new calendar year, is Spirit Sports Colorado Springs Nationals on Jan. 24-25. And, once again, Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of all the action.

Spirit Sports facilitates cheerleading and dance competitions that are about more than just the events themselves.

While showcasing their skills and talent and picking up points for the Varsity Cheer League, teams also are battling for bids to national events, but there’s an important bonus focus on enjoying the overall experience and all the things the host cities have to offer.

The competitions aren’t all business, though. They also include giveaways, dance parties, dance competitions for the parents, singalongs and recognition for each team.

Enjoy complete coverage of the 2026 Spirit Sports Colorado Springs Nationals, as standout teams from Division I and Division II go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining points to The Varsity Cheer League and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Broadmoor World Arena

Spirit Sports Colorado Springs Nationals makes a return trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Broadmoor World Arena, which has become a regular part of the Spirt Sports schedule each year.

Timing-wise, there are few places as beautiful as Colorado in the winter, but for those who don’t enjoy the cold, they can look over picturesque Colorado Springs from inside the top-notch facility.

Along with a growing role in competitive cheer and dance history, the Broadmoor World Arena regularly attracts a variety of exciting sporting events and entertainment for fans of all ages. The 8,000-seat arena, opened in 1998, hosts competitions, comedy shows, ice skating events, concerts and more.

Among the noteworthy visitors have been Cirque du Soleil, Disney On Ice, the Harlem Globetrotters, Carrie Underwood and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra – along with past stops by the Spirt Sports competitors.

The facility features more than 19,500 feet of versatile floor space, which can add an additional 2,000 seats to the arena’s 7,343 permanent seats.

Next to the arena, is the World Arena Ice Hall, which is a U.S. Olympic training site and home to the Broadmoor Skating Club.

Between the arena and the ice hall, there are three sheets of ice – two are Olympic-size, and the other meets NHL dimensions.

For the ultimate experience, the area also includes the expansive Broadmoor Hotel, which features luxurious accommodations, fine dining, golf, tennis, tours, activities and meeting space – plus, more than a century of history.
