Cheer teams will travel to Ocean City, Maryland, for the 2026 edition of the American Cheer & Dance Academy Reach The Beach All-Star Grand Nationals at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center! 

The event will be taking place Feb. 7-8 and will be covered on VarsityTV all weekend with performances in all levels and bids being offered to the Summit, Worlds and U.S Finals. 

Since 1991, ACDA has been hosting cheer and dance competitions, and the convention center in Ocean City has become a familiar home to this beach-themed event.

What To Know About The Roland E. Powell Convention Center

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland, is going to be busy this year with a variety of ACDA events, the first of which is the ACDA Reach the Beach All-Star Grand Nationals.

It might be March in Maryland, but there’s no doubt the ocean breeze, beach music and décor will make it feel like summertime at the shore. 

The convention center offers more than 250,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space, used for a variety of events – car shows, concerts and entertainment, conventions – plus a new performing arts center that allows for even more variety.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every all star elite team in Youth, Junior, and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the point system displayed here. 

At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value. 

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 92 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the six eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences. Champions will win cash and prizes!
