What To Know About The Kansas City Convention Center

When Spirit Sports Kansas City Nationals visits Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas City Convention Center in 2026, it will be familiar territory for some of the competitors and their guests.

Specifically, the facility’s Municipal Auditorium has hosted the event multiple times, but that’s just one of the many components of the expansive property that spans eight blocks in the city’s downtown area.

The history of the entire property dates back to 1899, with the original iteration of the Municipal Auditorium rising in 1934. Nowadays, the Auditorium includes an arena, exhibition hall, music hall, and theatre and can host a variety of events. It even has a rich tradition of college basketball.

The complex includes a 388,000 square-foot exhibit hall, conference center, ballroom, meeting rooms, and a nearby outdoor plaza. Learn more about all the components HERE or take a virtual tour.
