The American Cheer Power hosts the 2026 Cheer Power Grand Nationals in Columbus, Ohio at the Columbus Convention Center starting March. 14-15. 

American Cheer Power, created by Regina Symons, has been conducting championship events across the country for more than three decades with so many things for competitors and guests to enjoy. 

Athletes love the themes and unique awards, coaches appreciate the quality of the events and parents even get involved, making it fun for the whole family.

Enjoy complete coverage of the event, as All Star cheer teams from Division I and Division II go head-to-head with their sights set on obtaining some of the final points to The League by Varsity All Star and a bid to one of the prestigious end-of-season championships!

What To Know About The Greater Columbus Convention Center

Cheer Power Grand Nationals heads back to the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, in 2026.

The venue is one of the biggest and busiest in the nation, and it has become a familiar destination for cheer and dance events of all kinds. 

The GCCC underwent a $140 million expansion and renovation in 2017 and now features 1.8 million square feet of space, including more than 370,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibit space.

The facility features multiple multi-purpose ballrooms, dozens of meeting rooms, atriums, offices and top-of-the-line lighting and technology.

The convention center is minutes from the airport and connects to five hotels by enclosed sky bridge.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”

Every all star elite team in Youth, Junior and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.

Team rankings are determined by the points system displayed here. At each Varsity All Star event your team competes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.

At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.

In total, 128 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region. 

One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the eight eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences, meaning 42 championships will be awarded in total. Champions will win cash and prizes!
