6 Things You Didn't Know About Milton High
To the average Joe, all game day experiences are the same…tailgates, run-throughs, kickoffs, and halftime shows. But the locals and die-hard fans know the real story of hometown traditions. Every community, every school, and every cheer squad has a special spirit DNA that makes game day unique.

Here are 6 things you didn't know about game day at Georgia's Milton High School!

1. Before each game, the cheerleaders have dinner at one of the senior cheerleader's homes. It keeps the team connected and helps them get charged up for the game.

2. It's not a coincidence the fans are dressed alike! Each week, there's a theme that goes along with game day. All the students, parents, and cheerleaders get involved, and the stands are always full of decked out with a sea of fans dressed for the occasion. (Last week, the theme was camouflage)

3. Opened in 1921, Milton High School is the oldest school in Fulton County, Georgia. A new building was constructed in 2005, but the tradition and spirit still rings true through the halls.

4. Milton used to be part of the city Alpharetta, but it officially became the City of Milton a few years ago. It is a unique place to live full of community pride and spirit.

5. The Milton cheerleaders are very dedicated to community service. They raise money for childhood cancer and volunteer at Lighthouse Retreat, where kids and families come who have been affected by cancer.
