4 Tips To Make This Homecoming One To Remember

The fall season is in full swing and the cold air is filled with spirit as college and high school spirit programs prepare for their favorite weekend of the season: homecoming!

Homecoming weekend is always jam-packed with activities in which the entire community can participate, and of course, the cheerleaders, dancers, mascots, and band play a big role in all the fun.

As you get in the spirit of the event, follow these few tips to make homecoming 2019 one to remember!

Community Spirit

Bring the community together this season by incorporating spirit-building activities all over town! Plan parades, pep rallies, and pregame performances to game to help pump up the school spirit and pack in the crowd for Saturday's kickoff.

Include The Alumni

Make it a point to always recognize the alumni who helped lay the foundation for your spirit program. Plan an alumni practice the day before the game to show off the new squad's skills and to help young team members meet their forerunners.

Raise Awareness For A Cause

The homecoming game brings in one of the biggest crowds of the entire football season. This year, use that crowd to bring awareness to the cause of your choice. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so think about adding a touch of pink to your sideline attire to show your support.

Traditions Make Memories

Homecoming is the best time to go all-out with your favorite school traditions. Whether it's a crowd-favorite band dance or rally chant, take advantage of the large fan section and build up and incorporate new traditions that will last for years to come.

Good luck this season and happy homecoming!
