GOOD SHOW, dancers! The UDA session at the 2017 Mile High Championship wrapped up with awards this evening, before the competition continued with cheer.


Twenty-five different divisions crowned winners, and we've got all of the official results right here on Varsity TV!

Pom kicked off the competition with sharp movements and explosive energy as teams worked the floor to earn their bid to the 2018 UDA National Dance Team Championship. The largest pom division, small varsity, hosted 15 competitive teams all reaching for a perfect routine. At the first awards session Ponderosa took home first place, followed by Standley Lake High School, and Chaparral High.

The Jazz divisions brought emotion on and off the stage as teams were awarded their titles. Cherokee Trail High School earned first place in medium varsity jazz, and was overcome with emotion. The team competed early in the day in medium varsity pom, and was proud to take home a third place trophy.

The mini, youth and junior teams shined in the contemporary/lyrical division this year, with creative and moving routines. Performing multiple first place routines, the Ultimate Cheer & Dance program brought well-prepared dancers to the stage - one team in particular catching the judges' eyes. Indigo performs their championship winning contemporary/lyrical routine.

Hip hop is always a highlight division at the championship and the midwest region did not disappoint. Tricks, attitude and lots of sass kept the competition fun as teams put on a show at the Denver, Colorado competition.

The Peak Athletics Bobcats earned a U.S. Finals bid and first place trophy and banner at the 2017 championship.
