WATCH LIVE: The 2019 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer And Dance Championship!

The last collegiate competition of the season is here, and what better way to end it than with sunshine, the beach, the Bandshell, and some of the most competitive college cheer and dance teams from around the country! 

The stage will be shining bright as teams take the stage on the Bandshell and in the Ocean Center for a chance at a national title at the 2019 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship.

The competition kicks off in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Thursday, April 4, and comes to a close Saturday, April 6th.

Live streaming coverage includes all team divisions at the championship. Partner Stunt, Group Stunt and Mascot Performances will not be live streamed.

New This Year:

You can watch every dance performance this year on Varsity TV, Thursday through Saturday! This year, the competition is not being held in the Peabody venue. Instead, the Ocean Center will be split into two spaces Ocean Center Arena (cheer) and Ocean Center Exhibit Hall (Dance).

What To Watch:

Back for the second year are NCA & NDA's College Game Day Divisons! 

The Game Day Divisions provide a unique and exciting opportunity for school Spirit Programs to work together to showcase their ability to promote school spirit and excitement in support of their school and its athletic teams. This division not only allows the use of traditional sideline cheer and dance teams, but also the incorporation of members of the school Marching Band, Pep Band, Drum Line, Mascot(s), Spirit Group/Club, etc.

In 2018, NC State University and Tarleton State University took home the first-ever NCA & NDA College Game Day titles.

Game Day Highlight: NCA & NDA Nationals

In 2018, the University of Louisville dominated the competition take home titles in Division lA Coed, Division lA All Girl, Division lA Hip Hop and Team Performance.

The Cardinals have a history of championship excellence and are known for raising the bar year after year with their innovative choreography and elite stunt skills.

The Coed win marked Lousiville's 18th coed championship title and the All Girl team's win extended their streak to 5 in a row. The Ladybirds now hold an incredible 19 NDA National championship titles.

The University of Texas Arlington will return to Daytona Beach this spring with the hopes of adding some more hardware to their trophy case. The Mavericks hold 5 consecutive titles in Small Coed Division l and will be one to watch at the championship. 

UTA hit two zero deduction routines in 2018 took the title with a final score of 95.60.

Can the Mavs continue their win streak some more this year?

Another Texas program to be on the lookout for in Daytona is Texas Tech University out of Lubbock, Texas. 

Texas Tech double titled in 2018 earning the top spot in Division lA Pom & Jazz. The Red Raiders theme for their 2018-2019 season is "Decide To Rise" and fans are ready to see if they will indeed rise to the occasion and win back to back titles at the championship.
