It’s that time of year again that dancers will be taking over Orlando, Florida, for the 2020 UDA National Dance Team Championship!

Who: School and All Star Dance Teams

When: January 31- February 2 starting Friday at 9 AM ET

Where: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida

Get your Mickey ears ready, because you're visiting the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando!

The 2020 UDA National Dance Team Championship will be held within the HP Field House, the Visa Athletic Center, and The Arena which will be split into Arena South (Red), Arena East (Blue), and Arena West (Green).

 If you need to take a break from the competition, you can stop by the ESPN Clubhouse Shop or grab some lunch at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill, which is connected to the Visa Athletic Center! There are even food trucks located behind the HP Field House for quick meals before you have to head back for awards. Take a virtual tour of the facility before you arrive to navigate the space like a pro.

UDA Game Day Is Back!

For the second year in a row, spirited school dance teams will bring their sideline traditions to the stage for a chance to claim a championship title.

The UDA Game Day Championship was created as a way for teams to showcase and compete with elements they are doing at their schools and in their communities all season long.

High school and junior high dance teams will be judged on three different sections: Fight Song, Spirit Raising Performance, and a Performance Routine. All must be completed within a total time of three minutes.

Teams will be listening for audio cues to tell them the order of the different sections. This allows for authenticity like an actual game day! Be on the lookout for tradition through the fight song, appropriate energy during the spirit-raising performance and strong dynamics in the performance routine.

The UDA Game Day Championship has grown and this year more than 80 teams will be competing amongst the spirited divisions! Semi-Finals will begin Friday at 9 AM ET in the Visa Athletic Center with Finals starting Saturday at 8 AM ET.

This is the biggest UDA dance event of the season, so don’t miss your favorite team take the stage. Bids to The Dance Worlds 2020 and The Dance Summit 2020 will be handed out to the most impressive all star dance teams.
