Everything you need to know to watch the 2025 edition of the Encore Philly Showdown on Varsity TV on Dec. 13-14.

Following almost a month off after its season-opening event, Encore Championships is back with a busy mid-December weekend that will include the 2025 Encore Philly Showdown in Philadelphia and the 2025 Encore Grand Nationals in Houston (Dec. 12-14).
The Encore Philly Showdown will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Dec. 13-14, and Varsity TV will be there to provide live coverage of the entire event.
As one of the competitive cheer and dance brands under the Varsity All Star umbrella, Encore puts on one- and two-day competitions across the country.
Along with Houston and Philadelphia, Encore Championships will be bringing events to Louisville, Kentucky (x 2); Nashville, Tennessee; Mashantucket, Connecticut; Las Vegas; and Daly City, California.
The first event of the season was the Encore Cartersville Showdown in Cartersville, Georgia, on Nov. 22-23.
Encore events are known for their signature red carpets, top-notch competition, high-level production and over-the-top award ceremonies.

What To Know About The Pennsylvania Convention Center
The Pennsylvania Convention Center is located in bustling downtown Philadelphia, which is a treat in itself, since Philly is such an iconic and historic city.
The venue is a convenient jaunt from the airport and close to a seemingly endless list of hotels, attractions, restaurants, entertainment and more.
The Encore Philly Showdown is one of a growing list of elite cheer events that have found a home at the Philadelphia Convention Center, which opened in 1993 and was expanded in 2011 to now feature more than 2 million square feet of space.
Seven exhibit halls offer 679,000 of that square footage, with 528,000 square feet being continuous and able to hold just about any event.
The facility also has more than 80 transformable meeting rooms, comfortable lounges, balconies, terraces and incredible views of the City of Brotherly Love.
Traveling in and out of the area is easy, as there’s access to buses, trains, the subway, taxis – everything – and more than 14,000 hotel rooms and countless restaurants within walking distance of the convention center.

- Top 3 teams in eligible divisions qualify for The Regional Summit
- 6 At-Large Bids to The Recreational Summit
- 1 Silver Bid to The Quest
- Top 3 teams in eligible divisions qualify for The Quest
- Golden Tickets to The U.S. Finals
The Varsity Cheer League
The Varsity Cheer League is the official ranking system for the sport of All Star cheerleading, changing the conversation from “Who won the weekend?” to “Who ranks at the top this season?”
Every all star elite team in Youth, Junior, and Senior divisions will be included in the Varsity Cheer League.
Team rankings are determined by the point system displayed here.
At each Varsity All Star event your team completes, your team will earn points based on the assigned event and placement point value.
At the end of the season, your six best Varsity All Star event scores will be used to calculate your final rank.
In total, 92 winners will be recognized from first to third place across each region.
One champion will be crowned in each of the five regions across the six eligible divisions and two League 6 conferences. Champions will win cash and prizes!
