Today we are sharing our best tips to help bases perfect their skills. Whether you are learning the basics or practicing an elite stunt, these tips will help you feel strong and confident under the stunt.
1. Speed Is Power
Speed is the most important element in making your skills higher, faster, and stronger. Maintaining a tight core while using both your legs and arms will help generate speed and power in both basic and elite stunts.
2. Consistent Technique & Grips
The best way to become confident in your stunts is to be consistent with your technique and grips. Focus on having good technique and catching the same grips every time you perform the stunt. Soon, your good technique will become second nature and you will be able to confidently hit your skills even when you are tired.
Pro tip: Practice your grips at home using a cheer shoe so your hands get familiar with the grip and motions of your favorite stunts!
3. Create A Strong Foundation
Bases should absorb through their legs, shrug through their shoulders, and stand chest to chest with their stunt group to give their top girl a solid foundation to stand on. Adding squats, push-ups, and core work to your training will help build up your strength so you can master any stunt.
